Readwise helps readers get the most out of their digital reading by syncing with Kindle, Instapaper, Pocket, and other platforms to import and organize highlights. Users can revisit and reinforce their favorite passages through daily emails and a web dashboard, making retention and application of knowledge easier and more effective. The platform also offers features like tag management, search functionality, and integrations with note-taking apps.
Why We Like It
Readwise is a must for its ability to help retain and revisit important highlights and notes from your reading. If you’re like me then your highlighting and note taking within books is well-intentioned, but poorly executed. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve highlighted or added notes to a book I was reading only to never revisit them, basically defeating the purpose of even doing it in the first place. With Readwise, this is no longer a problem. It integrates with Kindle and other applications to pull in your notes and highlights and then sends them to you in a daily email so you constantly expose yourself to them. This has greatly increased my comprehension of the content I’ve read.
The app also allows you to consolidate all of your reading from news articles to ebooks all in one app, so you don’t have to flip between apps to read all of your content.
A new feature of the app is their new reading application. This is another powerful and feature rich reading app to level up your reading experience.
